महत्व एवं कथा (Significance)
Sharad Purnima is considered the brightest and most spiritually potent full moon of the year. The moon shines in all sixteen kalas (phases), and its rays are said to shower celestial nectar (Amrit) on Earth.
It commemorates Lord Krishna's divine Maha Raas Leela with the Gopis in Vrindavan and Goddess Lakshmi's nocturnal descent, where she asks 'Ko Jagarti?' (Who is awake?) to bless vigilant seekers with prosperity.
