History

Sangameswarar at Bhavani, Tamil Nadu, stands at the confluence of the Kaveri, Bhavani, and the unseen Amrutha. It is a classic sangam Shiva temple of the Kongu region, quieter than Kashi or Prayag but theologically akin.

• A triveni in the south is believed to grant the fruit of northern Prayag for those who cannot travel so far.
